Voice messages and calls
Voice goes through Inworld: your recordings and your accomplice's words are sent to Inworld to be transcribed and spoken, and nowhere else. Connect it once in Settings → Accomplice → Voice with an Inworld API key; the key stays on your server.
Voice messages
When the composer is empty, the microphone button records a voice message. Release or press send: it is transcribed and your accomplice answers as if you had typed it. Your recording stays in the conversation.
Turn on Settings → Accomplice → Voice → Alma answers out loud to get a spoken reply with every written one. Your accomplice can also choose to speak when you ask it to ("say it out loud").
Calls
Press Call in the conversation for a live call. A compact call widget stays on screen while you keep using the app.
- Talk naturally; you can interrupt.
- When something needs your data or an action (your mail, your calendar, a task), the call hands it to your full accomplice, with its tools and approvals, and says the answer back. It fills the wait with a short natural line instead of silence.
- Every line said lands in your conversation as it is said, and the call shows as a notice (
Voice call · 4:12) where it started.
On an iPhone, a call stops if you lock the phone: native calls with the system call screen are Coming soon.
